Position: Software Developer

Responsibilities:

    Software Developer F/T at Keowee Primary Care & Internal Medicine in Seneca, SC. Define needs of software to ensure value to doctors and other staff.

    Manage the office's IT infrastructure and software development, with a focus on maintaining the Electronic Health Records (EHR) system.

    Utilizing technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, ReactJS, and NodeJS, customize and enhance the EHR interface to improve its functionality and usability for medical staff.

    Responsibilities include developing front-end components for efficient data entry, generating reports, and ensuring smooth integration of lab interfaces.

    On the back end, the employee uses NodeJS to manage server-side operations, data flow, and API integrations within the EHR system. Create and design components to customize software solutions to meet organization’s needs.

    The EHR system operates as an open-source application, empowering IT teams to implement technical modifications tailored to meet the specific needs of doctors and healthcare staff.

    Handle the customization of features and functionalities, ensuring that the system effectively supports clinical workflows and enhances overall user experience.

    Responsible for implementing a modular design which allows for easy updates and customization of features without affecting the entire system, facilitating quick adaptations to user requirements.

    Test and review software to determine that it works properly.

    Periodically test the EHR system and other internal tools to ensure a smooth connection and data exchange between the servers, EHR system, and the lab interfaces.

    If any bug is found, prioritize fixes to minimize downtime. Implement and update software changes as needed to account for needs of the organization’s various functions.

    Provide IT support and implement software changes that ensure the efficiency and stability of the office’s technical systems. Ensure any software changes are handled in a timely fashion with no downtime.

    Handle and maintain servers and any upgrades needed.

    Responsible for developing role-based access controls to ensure that only authorized personnel can view or modify specific patient data, enhancing security and confidentiality.

    Manage relationships with IT vendors, including assessing needs and handling contracts and accounts.

    Work with IT vendors and take care of the technical aspects of such accounts. Oversee the contracts requiring any Software changes and services.

    If servers are to be replaced, handle data migration and any database transfer needed.

    In addition to EHR management, oversee the server infrastructure, ensuring the smooth operation of various office applications, including payroll and medical supplies ordering systems. Using ReactJS and JavaScript, the employee develops and updates internal tools to streamline operations and meet the organization’s needs.

    Position requires bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in computer information systems or closely related field, plus 12 months of experience as a software developer
